Gift Ideas For Bakers, Cookie Makers, and Cookie Decorators

Tis' the season for baking! The holiday season is a busy time for bakers, so that means after a successful season of sales, you may be considering what to invest in for your business next!

You may also be looking for a quick snapshot of gift ideas to send the hubby, and this is that post, sweet friend!

Courses and Programs to Help You Grow Your Cookie Decorating Skills or Start and Grow Your Cookie/Baking Business

If you're looking for a fun and easy way to grow your skills from the comfort of your home, online cookie decorating courses and business courses and resources for bakers are a great way to save time on learning to decorate cookies and building your cookie business. Like any other career, cookie decorators and bakers get to have some professional development too! Ours involves frosting though, so I think we have a bit of a leg up on other professions!

There are lots of options when it comes to classes and memberships for growing your cookie skills and business! I have to throw in a shameless plug for my own, though, because I wouldn't be selling them if I didn't believe that they would be EXTREMELY helpful to bakers.

The Cookie Classroom is my signature program that guides you through the basics of sugar cookie designing and decorating and beyond! With my SG Scoop Method for getting the perfect icing consistency and step by step instructional videos in over 16 individual workshops for techniques like wet on wet design, cookie calligraphy, and florals, you'll be a royal icing master in no time! To learn more, click here.

Cookie Career Academy gives you all the decorating workshops inside the Cookie Classroom, but also gives you a peek behind the curtain at exactly how I built my home bakery business to provide fun, flexible, and sustainable income from home as a mom of toddler twins with ZERO (and I mean ZERO) business experience! You don't have to make the same mistakes I did, because I've compiled the home baking business lessons I've learned from experience into an easy to follow, step by step plan for starting and growing your business!

Baking Apparel

A personalized shirt or headband with a nod to your favorite bakers specialty is sure to shine under the tree or anytime! My personal new favorite sweatshirt is a pretty pink number emblazoned with "Christmas Cookie Lady" by Kourtney over at Bakery Tee Co. Kourtney creates custom clothing especially for cookie decorators and bakers, and she even has shirts for the guys (whether they're the baker or the honorary taste tester). With new collections to match each season (and bake- sale) there's always something new to shop over at bakeryteeco.com

Baking Subscription Boxes

Want to enjoy that Christmas morning feeling all year long? A subscription box is a great way to do just that! I recently received a Cheerful Box Cookie Cutter Subscription Box from Lauren at the Cheerful Baker (who is going to be on Food Network soon for her incredible Christmas Cookies!) and it was like being a kid again! It was so much fun, and I have a fabulous new set of cutter for Christmas baking that I didn't have to scour the internet for. They simply arrived at my house, cheerfully packed and ready to go complete with online baking tutorials too! Custom and Personalized Tools

When you're using something for work every single day, especially as a creative person. it helps if its cute. I love this adorable custom scribe made for me by my sister in law! If you can find a local artisan or someone on Etsy to personalize the tools you or your baking bestie uses every day, they are sure to appreciate it.

A Magical Mixer

Kitchen Aid is my favorite by far, but here are a few options to give you some ideas.

Kitchen Aid Mixer

Artisan

This Amazon product has so many color options, so you can pick the one that suits your taste best! This blue color is my mom's favorite, but there's a pink one in the list of options as well ;)

Professional Series

She works hard honey, honey! This is the pro series with more capacity, power, and that fancy handle thingy (also comes in a variety of colors)

Bosch Mixer

I've never used one myself, but I've heard tales of how many batches they can make at a time!

Digital Subscriptions that Make Baking and Cookie Decorating Easier

Digital Subscriptions are so helpful to bakers, especially these!

Bakers are always ordering packaging, ingredients, food coloring, sprinkles, cutters, and ALL THE THINGS! Amazon Prime helps bakers get those things to their front door faster, cheaper, and easier! Click Here to learn more about Prime membership

It's so helpful to be able to listen to something interesting, fun, or even learn something new while our hands are busy with baking. That's why I love my Audible subscription! I can use it while baking, doing the dishes, and even when driving to and from school pick up and drop off.

Canva is a workhorse for home bakers, especially baking business owners, because it is the easiest way (in my opinion) to create stunning graphics, videos, edit photos, schedule social media posts and even more!

Cameras For Capturing Gorgeous Cookies and Bakes

We work so hard to create the beautiful cookies and bakes that we make on the day to day, so we absolutely MUST be able to capture stunning photos of them before they're gobbled up and gone!

Here are my two favorites!
